Kathryn has lived in Milwaukee all her life. As Director, Convention and Visitor Services and Housing at Visit Milwaukee, the local convention and visitor’s bureau, she promoted the city for 15 years. In her role, she helped many meeting professionals by facilitating their off-site events, transportation and airport meet and greet, and by providing city tours. She also created a volunteer program that provided additional assistance to the overall meeting.
In addition, she has 15 years of association meeting management experience. She managed a meetings division that planned over 70 meetings each year ranging from 10-15,000 people.
In 2019, she received an MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and WBE (Women Business Enterprise) certification for her company, making her the only event planning/DMC company in the State to have this dual certification.
She is currently a member of the following industry organizations: Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA). She is Past President of Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) and has been a member of numerous meeting industry boards and committees. She has been a presenter at industry conferences and was selected by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in 2009-2011 as a Diversity Executive Leadership Professional (DELP) Scholar.
Kathryn has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a BS in Management with a minor in Sales and Marketing and has maintained her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation since 1994.
